Her favourite fairy character is the ugly duckling and she is fond of carrot cake cupcakes with swirly frosting. Jane loves animals, fossils and being a grandma, and enjoys writing her stories and poems and sharing them on visits to schools and nurseries.

Loretta is a children’s book illustrator and author who lives in London. She loves looking for fossils in her spare time, and is ably assisted by her studio buddy, Torben Redbeard, the hamster. Loretta originally studied performing arts and has a degree in Dance Performance. Her favourite place to draw is in the tall grass in Hampstead Heath in London. She has illustrated numerous picture books for Little Tiger Press and Harper Collins.
